Good point about the sub policy, but at least from a UK legal point, it’s completely legal to use a VPN in UK (and confirmed by sites like trusted reviews, toms hardware).

Yes I was also to access it via YouTube and VPN, but not web browser.

But I get what you’re saying about country broadcasting and the sub.

In short the setup is similar in that it provides defensive cover when attacking, but can also provide a free man while attacking.
