You know what they say, “reliability rankings are like anuses…”. Toyota should be on top just on the legendary reliability of the 4runner.
The key comes down to determining what conditions merit a change at 5k vs one at 10k. For most, 10k is fine. Aside from those that tow or off-road, I think there are many of us that drive in heavy, stop and go traffic with lots of idling that would also benefit from 5k.
My lil X1 is fun to drive and it jams. I pull away from most cars especially accord or civic “sports” that people drive with their pedal to the floor. And the engine is reliable…you don’t say.
