1. Steam OS on Launch was a buggy mess(ok maybe not a buggy mess, but full of bugs)
2. They are 2 different devices. It’s like comparing Apple mini to Apple TV Similar form factors, different use cases.
3. Target Markets are different for both. There is some overlap but not much. SD is for someone looking for PC gaming on the go/cheap way to get into PC gaming. PS Portal is an accessory for a console.

I don’t agree with the PS Portal rating, but comparing 2 different classes of products and their ratings is just stupid and counter productive.

A better comparison would be Steam Deck vs Ally or Lenovo Handheld or GPD or one of those brands.

And Finally, these reviews and their scores are all based on personal opinion and preferences, there is no scientific method any of these reviews use, whats more, both reviews were probably written by different people with different biases.

Look at the summary even, 1 is saying that SD is sublime, but has issues, whereas the other one says the same thing, yet still calls it a must own device.

You may be younger and haven’t learnt this life lesson, but heres a freebie:

Don’t follow others, form your own opinions. You are an idividual and reviews are nothing more than an idividual pretending that his opinion matters more than the next guys because he’s a reporter and you are not.

I cant remember which youruber was reviewing the oled SD that said it felt better on the menus even.

He went on to say how human mind takes all these little inprovements and translates it to a smoother feeling performance even if the framerate hasn’t changed.
