Messi winning it this year while his team finished 2nd from bottom of their league shows that the Ballon d’Or shouldn’t be taken seriously; it’s based on journalist’s opinions rather than stats. Nedved winning it in 2003 over Henry also proved this.

It’s like when people complain that no black actors won an Oscar, maybe the white actors were better and the decision was based on performance rather than skin colour? Also fuck the Daily Mail with their clickbait bullshit.
Shit, it’s such a shame if he turns out to be injured again as he looked so good against Sevilla
Papa Wengz was a revelation not just for Arsenal but for English football, and his earlier achievements (Invincibles, consistent UCL qualification despite no money due to the Emirates move etc) bought him a lot of free reign. However as others have said, while I personally was Wenger In until the end I do feel that he stayed a couple years too long and should have moved upstairs to DoF or something. I think the hate came from the fact that teams had essentially ‘figured out’ how to beat us and nothing was changing, that and the insistence on starting certain players that were generally regarded as not good enough.
So everyone saying Chelsea were the better team, this says otherwise?
They are both right in their own ways
