G80 grew on me, and I bought one. M2 is a lost cause though. Seems like they were trying to copy GT2 and both of those cars aren’t that pretty.

Had a 530i as a loaner for a while. It was quick at low speeds, but you really felt the lack of top end with it. It didn’t pull that well above ~50mph. It was noticably slower than even my old 335i.

I’ve done that a few times when I didn’t realize the car was already in the D mode, and I hit the lever again. But I usually know within the first 20 seconds rather than 20 minutes. Dang that’s scary.
