Their drivetrain tech is the best in the world but the interior and software experience just isn’t up to par for the price. I really wanted to like Lucid but I had to cancel my reservation because it just didn’t feel like a future-proof car. The screen being way too small to actually watch movies on makes any promise of future autonomy less appealing and the lack of a HUD is baffling at that price point. Couple that with a badly delayed and janky CarPlay integration and I just couldn’t dice roll at that price tag that the car might be what I want it to be someday.
