  • Chelsea fans are having a hard time digesting what happened. Some of them are saying if we have title ambitions we should be beating them, but they simultaneously say they are making a resurgence and improving. So which is, is Stamford Bridge the ‘three-point bridge’ for title challengers? Or have they made inroads to being a more competitive team and will be harder to beat at their own ground?

They are so desperate to think we come out of that match worser off they are shitting on themselves saying teams who want to win the league ‘should be beating us at our own ground’.

  • Agreed. But too many fans dont have the capacity to wait for things to formulate. We already have fans who want Ramsdale back in goal. We have fans fretting that we are not creating the quantity of chances we did last year, ignoring the fact we are showing more maturity out of possession. Arteta is clearly trying to evolve the team and there are a few teehting issues. However rather than ride out the transition, we have fans who shit it and want to ‘go back to what works’, which was last season where we played the best 11 week in week out with little variety, and fell short in the end.

If we are to win the league, we need to undertake this evolutionary process Arteta is implementing. Either that or we play good reliable football and finish 2nd or 3rd at best

  • Agree. We need to consolidate and build the foundations at the back. Control the ball, starve the other team of chances, and limit their opportunity for transitional attacks. We need to cut out the errors at the back though, I like to think its a teething issue and its something we can eradicate.

Arteta is trying to make us more of a machine, rather than a free-flowing football team that is ‘entertaining’. If you want ‘entertainment’, go and watch the WWF. This is competitive football and put simply, Arteta wants to minimize the chances other teams create at our end of the pitch.

  • Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Zinchenko, Partey, Rice, Odegaard, Saka, Martinelli, Jesus

Really confident as we are better without the ball as we are with it. I can see Chelsea becoming confused as to whether they should play in a high, mid or low block. They will look to start with confidence however in the first 20 minutes reality will kick in, we shift the ball better, and close down spaces for them.

I foresee a controlled 2-0 win, with Chelsea fans willing the final whistle.
