Tesla has 3 things going for it that are awesome
they’re affordable now. Especially with the tax credit.
their charging network is top tier. My uncle takes his car up and down the east coast all the time and has no issues.
No dealers! My aunt wanted to surprise him at his retirement party and she ordered one online in about in about 20 minutes. Had the full price with no BS markups too.
So realistically fall until you can get one for MSRP
Their mobile applications are terrible which I’m sure is part of the problem. I do everything from my phone now.
My first car was a 2000 Acura TL and my mom did the same thing to it. Drove it to 243k without any issues. Lol
My mom bought a X3 M40i and said it’s very favorite she’s ever owned. She loves the way it drives and the technology.
However, she likes the M badges on it because they’re pretty. She has no idea about the history of it. She told the salesman “my husband had a BMW in the 80s and he was always calling it the ultimate driving machine.” She thought my dad made that line up. Lol
So to your point, a lot of none car people buy BMWs
