  • Andrew Cockburn talks about this POS in The Spoils of War:

There is little public appreciation of the extent of the disaster. The F-35 first saw combat last year [2020], seventeen years after the program began. The Marines sent just six of them on their first deployment to the Middle East, and over several months only managed to fly, on average, one combat sortie per plane every three days. According to the Pentagon’s former chief testing official, had there been opposition, these “fighters” could not have survived without protection from other planes. The most expensive weapons program in history at a projected lifetime cost of $1.5 trillion, the F-35 initially carried a radar whose frequent freezing required the pilot to regularly switch it on and off.

No, they are using the trope of modern communists being horny-brained and only capable of thinking about sex while making everything sexual. The sign is a double entendre of the person being horny for someone “coming” to/for them

Wait, I thought it was supposed to be misogynistic? I thought that was a bit of a stretch but you can’t be serious - I don’t understand how you could draw the conclusion that the figure is portrayed as being “horny”. You’re reading into depth that this MS Paint stick figure cartoon simply does not have.

I can’t tell from looking at it whether it’s supposed to be eyeliner or smile lines around the eyes. Given that the rest of the stick figures are pretty gender-neutral and there’s nothing else that could be considered “feminine” about this one, I would assume the latter.

  • You must be pretty young - “Axis of Resistance” was a response to GW Bush referring to Iran and DPR Korea and other anti-zionist forces as an “Axis of Evil” in his infamous speech. So it literally is American propaganda flipped on its head. Also, the term “Axis” in reference to the losing side of WWII is itself kind of a misnomer. Those powers referred to themselves as the “Anti-Comintern Pact”.
