Nah, not even close. My Steam Deck is for when I want to play something controller-friendly that’s not a Switch exclusive, but can’t be bothered to actually boot up my laptop.

Don’t get me wrong, the SD is great, but it’ll never replace anything more powerful than a low-end gaming laptop/PC (if there is such a thing) in my eyes, especially for mouse+keyboard games. It’s more of a “bedside extension” than a replacement imo

Nah. Don’t get me wrong, it’s an improvement, but it’s like the Switch Oled to the Switch. Worth it if you don’t own the original console, but not really worth buying the updated version if you already have the previous one.
