Just pulled the trigger on an OLED. I haven’t played a game on my PC for over a year, it’s simply used to stream football matches to my Chromecast on the weekends.

I already have a laptop and a PS5 that can do the heavy lifting. I also have a PS Vita that gets used daily simply because it’s so convenient, so I know the Steam Deck will get some play.

Just curious about others.

I only gamed on my Steam Deck until Starfield came out, then I bought a Lenovo gaming PC and now I stream to my Steam Deck from that machine when I’m at home or have access to a high speed internet connection. The flexibility is great. I run Steam in a Linux docker container on the Lenovo desktop machine.

No. It’s a nice addon though! I use mine to play Elden Ring in bed when I’m not at my desk. Also to play modded games like FF7 or indies/emulators that would feel weird to play at a desk.

I have a 3070ti sitting idle since I picked up a SD last year, and my PS5 has been getting more of my attention. Good problem to have I suppose

I only use my PC for games that have an anti cheat at this point. Otherwise I’m on the couch all nice and comfy with the steam deck

I did the opposite, I sold my PS5 because there was no way I would double-dip on a game to play it at great graphics, and on the go. PC + SD is great (especially since sony seems pretty committed to bringing their games to PC after a bit)

While I still use my deck to play games more frequently, I still have my computer to play things that still aren’t compatible with the deck. I also use it for certain games that I just prefer on my desktop, such as FFXIV.

Nah, not even close. My Steam Deck is for when I want to play something controller-friendly that’s not a Switch exclusive, but can’t be bothered to actually boot up my laptop.

Don’t get me wrong, the SD is great, but it’ll never replace anything more powerful than a low-end gaming laptop/PC (if there is such a thing) in my eyes, especially for mouse+keyboard games. It’s more of a “bedside extension” than a replacement imo

No, I like the idea of a steam deck. But I know it would just be ignored and used even less than my xbox.

I pre-ordered back long ago and got a moment of (rare) calrity and cacncelled. Probbaly one of my better choices. ANd no in any way I do not think it’s a bad choice, it’s just not my choice.

And to be fair, I am hardly away from home. Any what I like to play needs a keyboard any mouse (or me to completely relearn controller which I have been not been good at since ps1). I’ll take my laptop when I go places given that.

    But for OP sounds great.

I’ve been using my PC less. My PS5 was just more convenient but the deck has made it easy to get back into the steam ecosystem

I used my steam deck for about 5 hours and then got bored of it. Now I want to sell it. Anybody want to buy it 100 bucks?
