Mocking Donald Trump as well, last night Kimmel said on his show: “We hit some new lows over the weekend with the MAGA gang desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

I know the answer is obvious, but, why can’t people who don’t like what Kimmel said just stop watching his show? Why does it have to be completely pulled?

From the AP news article about this: Kimmel’s comments about Kirk’s death “are offensive and insensitive at a critical time in our national political discourse,” said Andrew Alford, president of Nexstar’s broadcasting division.

If they just stop watching, they’re not wielding power over people they hate.

All of the conservative handwringing over “cancel culture” for the better part of the past decade was them wishing they could do all the canceling themselves.
