Is there any plan in the works to take this stuff back? Like, they spent months hyping the spring offensive (do they still have any of that territory? I thought I read Russia was retaking it) but I’m not hearing anything about their plans to regain the initiative. If their position is only going to degrade from here they might want to consider negotiations.
A year ago there was a lot of talk about how winter would force defensive posturing and advancement for either side could only happen outside of winter.
There’s few spots where Ukraine is gaining ground. North of Tokmak there seems to be a decent offensive. There’s a lot of places where they’re losing ground.
Bakmut isn’t even a front line anymore.
Ukraine had a chance when they were being supplied by the West. Any hiccups there are disastrous.
Besides the initial counteroffensive, Ukraine has depended on Western aid to stay in this fight. I’ve seen a lot of talk about how weak the Russian military was/is, but they’ve effectively taken on NATO. This should be a wakeup call. Not whatever other type of propaganda this is
Well, they need countries like the US to send them supplies to host any kind of offense or defense, but Putin’s puppets are doing a great job of killing all our aid bills over imaginary manufactured crises. So they’re ending up in a tough spot…
The agenda generally boils down to “west Bad, anything not-west Good” without any nuance regardless of the topic. Hate and criticize the west sure, but Putin’s militarized, iron-fist Russia (and same for the CCP) is actively worse in every possible manner. The 14yo-level tankieisms are very annoying to hear so frequently, which is why I keep hexbear’s posts instance blocked on my account.
The west was happy to pour weapons into Ukraine for almost two years, but Putin is not stupid and knows his KGB tricks to spread careful propaganda designed to gradually sour us against Ukraine’s defense. Our alt-right conservatives are chomping at the bit for a fascist dictatorship and he wouldn’t let such an opportunity slide. Now we have the likes of Tucker Carlson actively interviewing Putin for his propaganda tour, and Republicans are happy to spoil all of Ukraine’s aid for unclear, transparently corrupt political brownie points. Ukraine was right to trust the west. But we are failing our end of the deal by not recognizing and instantly rejecting the obvious manipulation by a despot who thrives on the internal chaos of his enemies.

Trusting the west was their key mistake, I agree.
That is not even remotely what I said, but average hexbear political agendaposter gonna agenda.
What, if you had to guess, is the agenda?

You have described a point of view, not an agenda. What is it you think we want to achieve and why?
LMAO
Those ‘Putin puppets’ seem based enough, tho…
