Noooo! I started web development in 2000 and those days were horrendous. No proper CSS, tables for layout, those awful browsers and search/replace in Dreamweaver to make a style change. Working for an ad agency developing websites for IE4/5/6/* will forever be a dark time.
Now development is way easier but the actual experience of using the internet has degraded thanks to enshittification .
