Do I really have to buy macans before being allocated for a gt3 or even a touring?
My dealer told me straight up with no pauses that I need to have to buy “couple” of cars before they would even put me on the wait-list. Pretty blunt, he was.
Why don’t you ask your dealership?
Or, you know, buy a low mileage used one? 🤷♂️
Maybe not. But if you have a Macan GTS and GT3, that’s pretty much a God Tier setup.
No, you have to buy base 911 and then GTS before being allocated a GT3.
Kidding, kind of. You’ll be more desirable if you have a book of business. You can also put your name on the list and maybe you’ll get an allocation in 5-7 years.
Art, watches, handbags, Porsches, Ferraris - dealers tend to favor their best customers. Be one of those customers.
Not necessarily, you have to be in the best interests of the dealership and Porsche to be given an allocation. That can be a variety of factors
-Previous purchases, whenever used or new, doesn’t have to be Macans -Your social media showcase of your cars and does it showcase positive image of Porsche? -Social media followers -Do you go to car meetups and track events or will you stuff it in a garage on a battery tender? -Overall likability as a person -If you plan to flip immediately
Hit take but I’m sure there’s some background shenanigans that happen as well… “If you sell me for sticker I’ll flip it for $100,000 profit and then I’ll pay you $25,000”
At this point in time you could buy 50 macans and not get an allocation for any kind of gt3 - they’re done.
Why are you so late to the party?
It depends. You have to make calls.
