I went into the dealership for the 40k mile service which involved some fluid changes, tire rotation and brake wear test. I walked out of there $1300 poorer, after they nickel and dimed me for a bunch of other things that came up during the inspection. I even turned down some of the “suggested services.” I won’t be going back there again. Anyone else get this treatment?
I assume your vehicle is under warranty still. Shouldn’t any work except fluids, wear items, and alignments be free?
Don’t underestimate the value of preventative maintenance. Many things don’t need to be fixed immediately, but will cost you more later.
The free maintenance on Toyota’s (basically oil changes and tire rotations) is only for 2 years/25k miles. He’s at 40k miles.
