    ‘Robust and Outdoor’? Well, there’s a big beltline of plastic that surrounds the car from bumper to wheelarch to side skirt… all the way around. Handy for the usual dings, and it’s made from a new Dacia material called Starkle that’s 20 per cent recycled.

    That’s cool, but I don’t get why it goes so far up the front doors.

    Drove a Duster around Iceland for two weeks and loved it for what it was. I wouldn’t trust it to hit or maintain highway speed limits quickly here in the US but it would be great to have an affordable option like this. I’d also take an Isuzu Jimny while I’m asking for impractical non-US slow SUVs that would have abysmal sales, thank you very much.

    it looks good, though its strongest angles are from the rear. the front end is kind of generic? its giving me a real sense of deja vu

    As a Romanian, Dacia always had a “poor person stigma” attached but i have to admit lately that’s all but gone. I would love to own one of these Dusters as they look amazing, just a shame there’s no EV variant as that’s becoming a massive part of EU sales.

      Current generations of Sandero and Duster don’t have that stigma also according to Dacia, most of Dusters they sell are higher trim models because people like that you get a decent car for cheap and than only add options you need. There’s no EV option because it’s based on same platform as Clio or Sandero

    Looks good! These will be everywhere here around Estonia.

    Basically what matters is 1) if it’s still cheap-ish 2) if it’s still good off the pavement. I’m almost certain #2 will be “good enough.”

    I haven’t driven one, but I’ve definitely considered one. Wish list:

    1. Automatic + AWD option this time (looks like that’ll be an option, but it’s on the hybrid version, so might not be cheap at all). Last one was weird: you could either have one or the other.

    2. Better seats, as supposedly the last ones sucked. The ones in the picture look suspicious.

    3. The exterior on the first two models looked sweet, but the interior looked… inferior. This one looks about as good as you might imagine, though I expect lower-trim versions to be worse.
