Went to tire shop to change a flat and told ‘em they couldn’t due to a missing socket (?). I understand it’s a wheel lock and I looked near my jack and glove box and couldn’t find anything. Do I need to order a whole new set at this point or is there another option? Thanks in advance!

This locking type is possibly the junkiest of all. They strip really easily. And the shop likely doesn’t want to fork over the $25 to replace it when it strips off.

That shop could 100% remove it. They just don’t want to. And I totally understand that. But if it was my shop, I’d be up front about it and give the customer the option.
