so why Toyota corolla 2024 LE (most basic model) is 5k more expensive than a Hyundai Venue 2024? what are the better benefits for $5k?

The Venue and The Corolla are not the same segments to begin with. The Venue is the subcompact segment, replacing the Accent. You need to compare the Corolla with an Elantra.
The benefits of paying an extra $5k up front are better reliability, less time wasted at the shop, less money wasted at the shop, higher resale value, and a car that’s going to last way longer overall. Kia and Hyundai build throwaway cars. They throw that 10 year warranty on to attract more buyers because people see that and think they’ll just fix anything that goes wrong or breaks. One of my close friends used to work as a tech doing warranty work at a local Hyundai dealer. So many blown engines that that’s all he ended up doing. Some cars would be stuck for months because of parts delays.
Hyundai is fast fashion…good looking car but doesn’t last as long. Their engines are shit. Just Google for yourself.

You get something that lasts for 200,000+ miles with no major drivetrain work. Do a search for “Hyundai engine issues” vs “Toyota Engine Issues” and see what turns up.
Stop listening to this fools, the difference in price is not because Hyundai’s are “cheaper” “trash” or whatever (even while there is some truth there)
The gap in price is because The Venue and the Corolla are in 2 different categories and they don’t compete with each other.
The Venue is a Sub-Compact SUV and the Corolla is a Compact Sedan
A direct competitor for the Toyota Corolla would be the Hyundai Sonata and both have very similar base MSRP’s (less than $500 difference in the USA)
In the US Toyota has no direct competitor for the Venue, but The Nissan Kicks and the Chevy Trax are direct competitors to the Venue with Similar pricing.
The Sonata is a Camry competitor…the Corolla competitor is the Elantra.

The Toyota will look “boring” and be a few steps detached from a pre-Whirlpool appliance - boring but reliable. The Hyundai would look cooler but the Koreans(I’m looking at you HyunKia, LG and Samsung) don’t build things to last or be easily repaired - parts are NLA after 5 years. Hyundai quality has improved over the last 20 years IMO but they still seem kinda disposable, not as bad as a GM though.
Also, many insurers are hesitant to insure HyunKia products or at least will charge increased premiums.
Get the Toyota. Hyundais are garbage. I have one, and am eager to get rid of it.
