I’ve changed my VRAM to 4gb in the Bios start up screen (followed CryoByte33 guide and installed CryoUtilities to take care of everything else) but when I load back into gaming mode and check my VRAM in settings I still shows 1gb… can anyone suggest anything?

    You may want to ensure you are actually saving the VRAM change. It should be reflecting in the BiOS after you save it, and in the system settings in gaming mode.

    So after you check or check the BiOS, look in the gaming mode settings right after to verify on the first boot up.
