H everyone, I’m currently running in to an issue with my home network, I have my own home setup using the modem from my ISP. I have a TP link non WiFi router attached to the modem using dynamic IP. From my router I have a Netgear unmanaged switch and in the switch is all my connections from my patch panel. I have my home pc, Plex server and wireless routers used as access points for WiFi connections, one upstairs and one downstairs. I have all this in my office closet. I’m able to get gigabit speed from the modem, but from the router, I’m getting slower speeds to everything else. So I’ve been researching other non WiFi routers and found the Ubiquiti EdgeRouter 4. Will I be able to integrate this router in to my setup and get the correct speeds I’m supposed to be getting? Also, how would I set this up for my setup to get good speeds for Ethernet and WiFi connections?

I wouldn’t get anything from EdgeRouter line. The hardware is pretty anemic by modern standards and they’re pretty much EOL(despite Ubiquiti claiming they’re not.)

Where on the scale of “just works” to “I want to tinker” are you looking for?
