We all have heard the stereotypes about certain sports cars or grand tourers as mid-life crisis vehicles (the corvette being a classic example). But which cars in the category are least saddled with this baggage? I’m curious if there is variation across the category.
Put more evocatively: If a graying gentleman steps out of a lovely and fast looking car with a woman half his age, which models would have the highest proportion of people thinking “It’s so nice that he still has a good relationship with his daughter” vs. “I wonder which number trophy wife she is?”.
C63 W205
i think any super expensive car like bugatti chiron money or more, because even if you wear like the clothes of a 20 year old, people will just think weird rich guy rather than midlife crisis
Chevy SS (if you consider it a sports/GT car.
Stinger GT.
Most classic sports cars that aren’t too flashy and definitely look several generations old. By classic I mean well over the technical 25 year old age. These are almost always considered cool by most people.
base model red Corvette convertible
A 2002 corvette convertible. Yellow, automatic.
The idea of the mid-life crisis car is not necessarily connected to the trophy wife. If you have the expensive car AND a trophy wife, you are not having a crisis. You are winning.
Fuck the haters?
Literally why care? Jealous people will be jealous and make stupid comments no matter what nice car you drive.
Honestly I think it depends how middle aged you are. Are you just hitting 40 or are you on the end of 50 something
“Jaguar: For men who want handjobs from beautiful women.”
I think “Crazy People” is the name of the movie that had that line in it.
