Hi all, im currently looking at a bmw f31 328xd with 350k km on the clock. I just wanted to ask if anyone has experience with f30/31 bmw with that sort of mileage. Do you think its a smart choice. The car is fully loaded 2014. I currently live in southern Europe where car prices are a bit crazy. The car is listed for 12000eur but looking at cars on autoscout it seems like a fairly decent price considering all of the extras it has.

Any input is appreciated.

There never was a 328d in europe so it has to be a us import. The 328d is just a rebadged 320d.

At those KM you’re looking at a full timing chain service and a new oil pump, because they do fail at some point. Also the injectors and high pressure fuel pump might break in the future, so thats something you’ll have to replace at some point.

If repairs and parts are cheap where you live and the car won’t put you in debt, then why not. If all cars are this expensive then you really don’t have a choice.

Also check the vin, maybe some service was logged with the correct KM.

I noticed that it is an import from the west however i think it might be a Canada spec considering the speedometer is in kmph. Also noticed that it had sidemarker slots. I’ve been talking to a bunch of people, and im getting a lot of mixed feelings from people. I have a friend who has a 320d manual that hasn’t had issues at all, and he’s on nearly 300k. However im not dumb enough to realise that km dont really matter all that much if the car has been taken care of, but i dont have any way to confirm or deny any supposed maintenance that the selller states has been done. I do plan on doing a car vertical check on it or maybe take it to a bmw dealer to see what they say.

      Thanks for your input.
