I’ve always wondered about the motivation behind folks who willingly navigate through the holiday hustle, dealing with traffic and airport chaos, just to pick someone up.
To see people I love?
Makes sense. I believe those who are picked up appreciate that.
Love. There are few things I wouldn’t do for people I love.
How nice. I’m finding out many on my circle also would go pick up someone, even more during Holidays. :O
Hello fellow community humans, totally not a bot here. Please answer this totally non-generic human question. Here’s some emojis showing my emotions cause I am human!
I am a human. Very much alive.
when talking about north America here its because there is basically no alternative as public transport is virtually none existent in most of the US.
so you either pick them up or they spend a ton of money for a taxi.
in Europe this is a less common thing as airports are usually very well connected to public transport systems.
i can reach 3 different international airports in just over an hour using public transport, in the US people can be happy to reach one at all without using a car.
You can always count on some Europoor to rationalize taking the metro with 2 luggage and a carry on after a long flight.
I never thought about that. Never been in Europe. That’s great they have the public transportation figured out!
