Not very knowledgeable with computers but I’m beyond done with my old laptop taking half a century to pull up simple homework assignments. Looking for some recommendations for solid laptops that are affordable so I can complete my degree. Not looking for anything fancy just something that will pull up my class zooms and homework quicker than the 20 minutes it took my old one. Anything in the 200-300 dollar range is my budget. Thanks for the help in advance

The IdeaPad 3 slim is a really good budget item. You can pick any time for $499, but there should be good deals the next few weeks.

Check out the Dell Outlet on their site. They should have some decent Inspiron models starting at $380.

Dellrefurbished.com has Latitude business computers returned after a lease. They should have have models with i5 version 8 around $325.

Thinkpad T with a similar Intel chip works too.

Acer runs a good refurbished site on eBay that ships from Texas .

Get a laptop with I3 or i5 processors as they would provide effient multi tasking opportunities.and although celeron Or pentium laptops are pretty cheap don’t buy them they are pretty slow and will not provide the exact performence you expect for price, while I3 s are 1.5x expensive but could deliver more than 3 times the performance. AND MAKE SURE TO BUY ONE WITH AN SSD OR M.2 don’t go for cheap hdd’s they are completely TRASH. All the best finding an laptop with these buddy!!

This HP ProBook 445 G7 is a perfect laptop for basic school work under $300. It’s a refurbished business laptop from a few years ago that would have been a daily workhorse for a small business employee for doing basic MS Office, web browser work, simple photo editing, and social media.

Not to bore you with specs but it has a mid range Ryzen 4500U that is a few years old but still holds up well, and 16GB RAM and 512GB SSD which is totally sufficient for office type work. It’s also built well and is meant for workers to take on business trips and so it’ll do well going back and forth from school.
