Most people turned to congratulate Chelsea for the fascinating game, but indeed Manchester City has a few advantages over key decisions. The most apparent controversies were the soft penalty awarded again, and no foul for the handball. Sadly if the standard of refereeing is normal, Chelsea should deserve a win.

Pep’s tactics are clear when City cannot score. Just keep falling to get a foul or a penalty and the goal will come. That’s why Grealish who is a master of this is one his favorite players. It will happen again against Liverpool, there is no doubt about it. City have destroyed the PL unfortunately and now Newcastle follows by offering the refs huge paychecks to officiate in Saudi’s league. Football has lost its magic because of the oil money.

To be fair we are not known for our diving, we are known for drawing fouls. There is a difference.

Plus if any team attacks as much as city and has as many touches in the box as city, they will get more penalties.

We often lead the league in touches in the opponents box, so that easily translates to leading the league in penalties won.

Even as a city fan I though the pen was soft, but not a clearly wrong and “corrupt” decision. Soft pens happen all the time.
