Context:
I have a Lenovo Ideapad 5 and an LG Gram, the latter of which is newer (and supposedly performs better based on its specs). But when I run FL Studio on both, only the Gram lags. I couldn’t find what the issue is, so I was wondering if anyone knew of some potential causes.

Efficiency of code, usually. Some applications are poorly optimized code, so with a powerful enough processor/enough ram, they’ll run smooth, but because of the inefficiencies, on lower spec hardware they’ll stutter and hang.
TDP and thermals. LG gram has lower TDP and weaker thermals which means that the processor will choose to drop clockspeed (throttle) during long sustained loads.
