So I am absolutely obsessed with OLED screens ever since I had a psvita 1000 with an OLED screen, so when valve announced an OLED model deck I knew I would have to pick one up. The only problem is I’ve had my steam deck for over a year and have set up a lot of software side stuff I don’t want to setup again on the OLED model.

But that’s where I have a concern the new OLED screen will have a higher refresh rate so I assume it will have some OS tweaks to allow the new screen to do this that the original decks SSD will not have.

So basically just wondering what we know so far about being able to just swap ssds into the new OLED models.

    I think the SSD will probably be the only directly swappable part as I think they are keeping the same 2230 format or whatever it’s called. So long as they keep the same SSD format then yours will fit. However, it’s unlikely it’ll just work as it’s an entirely new system and will probably require formatting etc.
