I don’t understand what everyone here was expecting Sony to change the design so much to the point that it would look like a standard appliance. Every single PlayStation revision has ALWAYS kept the design language of its original.
And revisions always look cheaper because they are cheaper to make. It’s not showcased on the cost because of course it won’t be.
Plus, these front facing images do not adequately showcase how much smaller it actually is. It’s not substantially smaller. But, the amount the PS5 has been slimmed down is not egregiously bad.
