Maddisons now out for a few months, Udogie and Romero out for a bit, City coming up. Ultimately I don’t think they have the squad depth to keep the charge going.
But sure they undoubtedly had a good run but I guess people were right, City are inevitable…
They were never going to challenge but up until recently top 4 seemed like a given for Spurs. People keep talking about how Ange was brave to use those tactics with 9 men but I think it was foolish and stubborn. They could have easily got a point out of that game if they had sat back and played on the counter since Chelsea were dreadful and only got their goals from Spurs leaving themselves wide open. That point could very well mean the difference between top 4 and Europa by the end of the season if they drop more points with key players out and the likes of Newcastle come knocking.
