The fascist dictator demands all state insurance recipients work a set number of hours per month to qualify for their insurance now. And the exemptions exclude people with mental health issues.

So who else will no longer have medications or therapists as of the turn of the new year?

Sorry to hear homie. You’re not alone. It’s gonna be a rough ride the next two years. Hopefully there’s light at the end of this tunnel.

For anyone (able bodied) about to be forced off antidepressants, I know in my own depressed heart and brain how much you don’t want to hear this, but cardiovascular oriented exercise is as effective, statistically, as antidepressants.

I am on antidepressants. I wouldnt wanna switch it for exercise. But if you’re in some kind of position where a lack of medication is likely to see you getting fired, please take my advice.

You want your exercise to basically force meditation. You want just enough brain bandwidth to focus on breathing. It’s archaic, but it can silence rumination better than my antidepressants; its why I hike. You wanna go at a pace where you won’t need to stop for a break, but you if someone made you laugh it’d make you briefly fall to the ground to catch your breath.

    Good luck out there y’all.

I wish I had some advice for those of us not so able bodied. If anyone’s got any tips, I’m sure someone will appreciate it.

volunteering also counts. you might be able to set up a 501c3 and clock time against that. i’m not sure what the reporting requirements are here, but if one person does that, it can potentially benefit many.

i’ve heard there’s a loophole for gambling “earnings” too. figures

…so you have to pay a casino just to get access to a psychologist when youre self-deletion thoughts become too much?

Why are americans OK with this? Why do americans never rise up to change this? Its no longer sad its actually comical 😂🤣

That’s why I’m trying to find a job before then. Of course, no dice for the IT industry. The last job interview I landed was for RAINN’s bilingual SAPR (Sexual Assualt Phone Response) role, but I decided against it because I wasn’t too confident in my Spanish speaking skills.

I might legit have to start printing my resume and taking it to local businesses and shops like the “good old days”. Between the AI slop and job phishing scams out there, it seems like there’s nothing in the tech industry anymore.
