Last day of school in elementary the teacher would often give us back stuff that we made through the year and sometimes classroom stuff that would have gotten tossed over the break, our backpacks were never more full than the last day of school.

Not everyone goes to the same elementary school. Something that doesn’t align with your personal experience is not immediately AI.

For me, it would be the night after the last day of the term in college, after all the exams are done and the last project is submitted. I would go from having a soul crushing amount of pressure on me to none. I would have a nice meal, maybe watch a movie or a show, knowing that for a moment, I had no burdens in the world.
Same feeling as the first day of a college semester, when you know every professor is just going to be handing out the syllabus and going over it, along with maybe some introductions, and no actual work will be done or assigned.
Mine definitely assigned readings the first day after going over the syllabus and assignments/exams schedule. A few had assigned readings you were supposed to do before the first class.
