1·19 小时前How exactly is Russia, China or Europe going to negotiate a peace deal with Iran when none of those are at war with Iran? And what incentive does Russia have for peace in Iran when the fuel crisis has been the best thing to happen to their economy in ages? Matter of fact, why would Russia and Europe EVER work together on something given that Russia has made it clear they seek lebensraum in Europe?
Europe and China would benefit from peace in Iran but neither holds control over Trump.

171·1 天前Other AI companies can still buy them, they’re just rare because nobody bought them in the first place. They destroy them because scanning them is faster and in some jurisdictions that absolves you from copyright infringement since the amount of copies doesn’t go up

Can’t say I’ve had your experience, Windows always had issues. Think 7 was the least problematic version for me and the last one I remember fondly.
I have a car diagnostics laptop running 8.1 because it doesn’t support legacy boot for 7 and is too weak for 10. That UX was horrendous. Then came 10 which was unusable without an SSD. That sounds like the norm now but back then a lot of people didn’t have them. I’m not even going to mention 11, it came out before the AI craze and has sucked since release.
But the really crazy side of Microsoft is the ERPs. Way too much always changing. Good old systems being retired because they have a worse new one to replace it with, etc.

Outside of the US it’s very common for apartment buildings to have shared ownership. In my country there are basically none where the building is owned by an entity.
That’s dozens of people you need to get to agree on how to fund lift maintenance and you bet the first and second floor folks would rather it be usage based.
Not saying I’m a fan of this but the ol’ murican “landlord should take care of the building” falls apart when you have a two or three digit number of people with a stake and say in what happens.
A lot of people actually own the apartments they live in, there’s no one landlord who owns the building. The apartment owners together do. If that’s how they vote to do it, who’s to say that’s wrong?
In a big enough commie block you might have over 100 “landlords” and it might be difficult to get them all to agree on increasing the maintenence fee.
I’m sure you can see how people would get confused since condominium is an American term and nobody likes to read articles
1·2 天前Idk, the mosquitoes at my place this year are so plentiful and small (hard to hit) that multiple people have asked me where the fuck those are coming from.
If you live in the suburbs of a big city you don’t know what mosquitoes are. I live next to the forest and this summer the forest is nearly impassable on foot or bicycle apparently. Which kinda sucks because I wanted to go foraging for mushrooms soon.
I’m sure they’ll still find some way to get out of the house and bother me when I’m outside.
Oh neat, I didn’t know this wasn’t a global thing.
It’s not as universal as the headline makes it out to be of course, maybe around 0.5% of people host home cafes in smaller towns, it’ll be less in the the big cities.
