The spirited, disruptive “No Space for Bezos” campaign tapped into wells of outrage against billionaires, climate breakdown and militarism – and it also gave the organizers a megaphone to broadcast ideas for different, less lethal ways we could choose to live together
Plot of 2012?
Any American billionnaire who wants to experience the inhospitability of outer space is perfectly capable of moving to northern Alaska. You are welcome to experiment with grueling cold, impossible supply lines, long periods of isolation and a climate that actively tries to kill you and your machinery, while enjoying the tutorial level bonuses of a breathable atmosphere, a magnetosphere, and an eminently purchasable American administration both at the Red State level and the Federal level, that will let you do whatever the fuck you want. If you can’t make that in a techno utopia, shut, and I can’t stress it enough, the fuck up.
