I’m so confused. Was this intentional? Did AI backfire and they uploaded the output anyway? Was it malicious compliance?
Well the black coloring from the fixture had to go somewhere
And I thought my discovery with their AI gen furniture was bad. Was shopping for a bedframe and found this amongst the mix:

Ah yes, that bedframe must be from the coveted M.C. Escher collection.
It would be cool if it were feasible, but I also wanna know exactly what the end product will look like. I’ve seen a few of these generated pics on Wayfair, and outside of cost, what else would they be reducing by cutting out the physical model and people involved? Like won’t the return rate go up and then cost them (significantly) more anyway?
Oh wait, it is just about line go up.
Taking high quality shots isn’t cheap, but subsidized slop machine vomit sure is!
A modern smartphone would take a good shot.
They just can’t be bothered to mock it up, I guess.
I’d much rather have low-quality shots of the actual product than AI generated images that may or may not somewhat resemble the actual product.
If this was real, I’d be so impressed! The impossible geometry clearly indicates… Well, who wouldn’t want a non-euclidean bed‽
I mean… infinite comfiness? Just gotta find a non-euclidean mattress now.
Was this being sold as an actual product?
Yep. Linky.
So there’s a second image that looks actually plausible. The gables are turned the other way, and the geometry checks out.
I think that part the reason why it seemed so strange. That image could easily also be AI (like 95% sure), but it’s getting really difficult to recognize sometimes. Only tell I found so far was the weird bunny on the shelf facing away from the shot, and the text on the books is too low-res to gauge. The string lights are a bit sus too.
Even if I didn’t have a shed full of woodworking tools I wouldn’t buy it.
Perfect for bruising your lower leg!

pmjv my beloved
Is it still blackface if AI does it to AI-generated people? Or is it just good old-fashioned slop?
It still counts as blackface.
TIL girls are taking shower in underwear
She might be a never-nude. I hear there are dozens of people with this condition.
and guys’ hair doesn’t get wet
Coloring of the guy notwithstanding, I have seen price differences for fixtures based on finishes. Usually chrome is the cheapest and then brushed nickel, brass and black are more expensive.
This one also is priced backwards, so who the fuck knows.
They are also being sold by different businesses.
Other things have changed. Tiles, lighting, and so on.
My guess is that the prompt is something like:
change the finish on the shower head assembly to silver, update the lighting and shading to emphasise the new finish.
I have to wonder if they are doing it on purpose.
After all, it generates a lot of attention for their site.
I was looking at portable induction burner recently and no mater what site I go to, I cant seem to find a picture that isn’t photoshop/AI. How am I supposed to see how big the thing is without a real human hand or a banana for scale.

It’s gotten so bad. I’m house shopping at the moment, and they’re all using AI now. It’ll hallucinate the dimensions of things from photo to photo, make up drawers/shelves/fixtures, etc. Madness.
And now they are adding AI decorated rooms, “for your convenience”. Ai is like a virus, polluting everything.
The bizarre part is that people are looking at this and thinking “yes this improves these photos” or whatever.
It might make the photos more pleasing to someone who is sexually aroused by looking at photos of rooms in houses.
However, it significantly reduces the value of the photos to someone who’s trying to buy a real actual house.
Just bought a house and I was really glad the seller didn’t add shit ai furniture. It’s my space, my canvas let me paint it.
OK ai bullshit aside, wouldn’t that halve the water pressure in each head? It would be nice to not have to swap out when showering together, but fuck you if you think I’m gonna put up with a half-assed trickle.
The key is a low flow showerhead on each side. I DIY’d this with a split showerhead, the kind with a wand in the middle of a ring, and it was magnificent both for when my wife and I shower together, which is our norm, and the rare times we showered alone. No waiting for the other to be done with the water with both of us, and no rotating to keep everything warm when alone! Best shower experience of my life
So, halve the water pressure / output in each head.
By lowering the flow, you’re maintaining the pressure, which is a lot more important than overal flow
Sounds like something the guy who pays the water bill would say.
It would work fine for me. Because the water pressure in my area is ludicrous to begin with. (Every plumbing project gets extra difficulty, though, because everything has to be perfectly sealed in order to handle the extra pressure, above what most pipes and fittings are designed for.)
Can you not regulate the incoming main?
Yeah, this is what a pressure reducing valve is for. Basically essential these days, because now things are made to spec, and they’re not adding an extra gram of material to handle your 120 psi water main.
Shower heads restrict flow already. The volume of water behind the head is significantly higher than the volume going thru the head, enough so that it can usually support 2 low-flow heads at once.
To see how this works, try timing how long it takes to fill a bucket underneath the faucet in the bath, then how much longer it takes to fill the same bucket with your shower head.
If it takes less than twice as long to fill the bucket with the shower head, then you won’t have sufficient pressure to dual nozzle your shower.
This also means you are probably not already using low-flow heads, and it is likely that you are spending more on water than you need, and sending a lot of water down the drain for no reason.
Why is that woman having a shower in a bathing costume?
She might shower with multiple men, but she’s not a skank.
Tell me this isn’t real… Please
It’s real, although people have been making fun of it for the past 24 hours, so it looks like Wayfair finally got the message and took it down:

Jeezy creezy
I like to turn one side on cold and the other on hot and hotdog roller in the shower.
