I think if you have something against Bluey you probably just haven’t seen it. If you’ve ever been in a family or wanted to be in a family (in any roll) it can appeal to you. Personally I like to watch with a glass of wine and have a healthy cry.
God, I’m glad I’m not the only one. Bluey has made me cry more times than I can count.
I try to somewhat base my parenting off of Bluey. I ask myself, “Would Chili or Bandit act this way? Would they look at me like a bad parent?”
It’s such a good show. I will fist fight anyone who says otherwise or has a problem with the show.

Just keep in mind its not a realistic depiction of real life parenting. Its a wonderful ideal and a great show, but its pretty well unattainable.
It’s not a double standard. They have one standard: hierarchy. People higher on the hierarchy can do what they want. Everyone lower has to obey. But they can shit on the people under them.

Trump can do what he wants because he’s the king. Men can abuse women because men are above women. White women can abuse black anyone, because whites are above blacks.
That’s the only rule.
This also explains why they don’t want nationalized health care, public transit, or other things that benefit everyone: because then lower tier people would get the same stuff. They would rather die so long as their “lessers” are worse off.

Bluey hate was not about immorality. It was about emasculation. The dad isn’t running the household like an army base (ironically the most socialist of all government bodies). Fathers must be alert and ready for threats to his family. Anything to do with children is women’s business and feminizing. Femme clearly deteriorates masculinity. Big strong masculinity crumbles in the face of anything that isn’t eating steel and living in caves.
Nothing the right says or does is genuine except for the desperation to be powerful.

I used to play it for my blue heeler when I left the house. I watched the first episode to see if it was ok for my almost 3yo. I’m never letting her watch that episode, I’m not committing to that freeze game 🤣.
I believe most MAGAs only first heard of Bluey when an episode was removed by Disney distribution for showing the father taking on a mother’s responsibilities to show his kids.
But it is a seriously heart felt and well written program for children. It actually fun to watch compared to children’s programs PBS has produced recently.
I believe that episode was Dadbaby. Bandit pretends to be pregnant and ends up “giving birth” to Bingo. It’s fucking hilarious and Disney are a bunch of small-dicked fuckwits for removing it. They have also removed quite a few small scenes from other episodes too, such as a horse taking a dump at the Market.

The dad is the real hero of that show. Well, for me at least.
Bluey was first recommended to me by a dad of a then 5yo, and like the one in the show he was very enthusiastic about playing an emotionally honest and complete role in his child’s life, as well as messing up sometimes or, well, being a bit of a child himself.
I remember one episode of the first 2 seasons where he played with his kids too rough and didn’t even notice until the younger one started crying, then he apolgized and they resolved the situation. These moments make Bluey stand out sky high against most other content kids in that age bracket are offered.

yup… supposedly it was because they have “strict guidelines” surrounding birth and body themes.
Family meeting (fluffy episode of season 3) wasn’t on right away, and they have also modified some specific sound effects related to things like bathroom noises and such.
Just…wow. Welp, if ever I needed a good reason to go buy the physical copies, it would be this right here. Assuming the dvd release doesn’t have any of that bs censorship.

The emotional depth on some episodes is staggering. They cover a lot more than you’d expect in a kids show, and with thought and care.
Yup, bought the Blu-ray set for ~$35 so I could have a hard copy, the show deserves it.

As I’ve said numerous times and will continue to say… The Republican Party is beyond hypocrisy. It’s beyond double standards. The is no objective reality. There is only what definitions, interpretations, or perspectives serve them. Whether or not they are currently emphasizing long-term, short-term, or something in between or what audience they are aiming their disinformation at might influence what they say but the truth itself is irrelevant. There is no good-faith, only an attempt to influence how they are seen so that they can abuse that misconception later. They are wholely disingenuous.
Unfortunately, some corporate and Zionist Democrats are also picking up the strategy and we’ve started living in a country where trust and the rule of law is just another avenue by which to exploit others. Admittedly, it’s been like that for most of the nations history but there was at least a pretense that people could believe in, albeit naively.
Things need to change, fast, before the entire population descends into might (and power, money) makes right at all levels of society.
