    If considered as great power chauvinism then no (especially since the term originally was used to describe Italy) - it is not an imperial core state and therefore the democratic content of oppressed national liberation struggle against US imperialism supercedes the former consideration, please see:

    The better answer is it is fine for Mexico to consider so but then we may changing the connotations of what the term was used for historically. However, the caveat here being: it must be liberating not suppressing the indigenous peoples.

    If Mexico was demanding those territories be returned or using it as justification for an invasion that could be irredentism but not if usa just offered them up.

    Mexico is still a European invention. The US should give the land directly to the Zapatistas

      I watched a documentary a long time ago called “a place called Chiapas” the zapatistas army of national liberation was cool AF. I’m not sure you’re referring to the same organization that I am, but I was down with the zapatistas.
