Below you will find the set of rules that applies across the entire site, regardless of which community you are in when interacting with other users. They are enforced by admins and moderators.

These rules are subject to change at any time, and without notice. They may be applied retroactively where necessary. Please check back regularly to ensure you are following them.

Failure to follow these rules may result in temporary suspension or a permanent ban.

1. Be respectful

No hate speech or bigotry, including but not limited to: racism, sexism, xenophobia and harassment. Give the benefit of the doubt where appropriate. Agree to disagree. Read the room. Be excellent to each other.

2. Follow community rules

Community moderators may define their own set of rules which apply to that community specifically. You must follow them in addition to the site-wide rules. In addition, this means keeping posts on-topic!

3. No porn or gore

No posting of or linking to pornographic material and gore. Mark sensitive content as NSFW.

4. No ads or spam

No advertising or spamming. Self-promotion is acceptable if it is kept to a minimum, not explicitly disallowed by community rules, and is not advertising a business.

5. Follow UK law

This instance operates out of the United Kingdom. Please follow relevant laws when posting content.

6. No brigading

Brigading - the act of aggressively infiltrating and harassing another online space - is not permitted, whether it be within communities on this instance, communities on other instances, or on other platforms and websites entirely.

7. No doxxing

You must not share on this instance or any other, any personal or private information pertaining to any individual. For example, if you have spoken to someone privately who has given you their real name but not shared it anywhere public (such as a blog or website), you are not permitted to use it here. It is best to keep to usernames and display names.
