Watching MOTD2 and Shay Given said he genuinely believes Ederson could play in City’s midfield

Ederson is undoubtedly excellent with the ball at his feet, likely the best I’ve seen barring maybe a prime Neuer. But goalkeepers only receive the ball with their back to the goal and rarely closed down by more than one player. So the idea that a keeper could fit into any midfield never mind City’s because they can ping a 70 yard pass out to the wings just seems ridiculous

    Can remember watching the pre-match build up to one of the Slovakia games in that tournament. All the BBC pundits were laughing about how little they knew about either side. Patting themselves on the back for having done absolutely zero research.

    Lawro easily the worst pundit and commentator ever. Just saps the life out of any game he’s involved in. Danny Murphy coming for his crown though!

      Just reminded me of when one of them mentioned Marek Hamsik - who had played about 250 games at that point for Brescia and Napoli - and they took the piss for knowing who he was! Forgot about that one.
