Watching MOTD2 and Shay Given said he genuinely believes Ederson could play in City’s midfield
Ederson is undoubtedly excellent with the ball at his feet, likely the best I’ve seen barring maybe a prime Neuer. But goalkeepers only receive the ball with their back to the goal and rarely closed down by more than one player. So the idea that a keeper could fit into any midfield never mind City’s because they can ping a 70 yard pass out to the wings just seems ridiculous
Any other takes from pundits that really wind people up?
When all the pundits said that the Romero handball VS Manchester United clearly wasn’t, then when the pen against Romero was given VS Arsenal everyone was backtracking on the United game saying it may have been a mistake.
Michael Owen thinks the wall should stand far side while the GK stands in the middle during FKs
Hey Michael, that wil render the wall irrelevant because I could get a second kicker, role the ball to him and all of a sudden the chances of scoring is 10x higher
I’d have to choose from long list of Rory Jenning’s braindead takes. His predictions in general are utter dogshit and when he is proven wrong he flips 180 every single time.
I highly doubt Shay Given really thinks this.
Pretty sure it was said hyperbole.
Jamie Redknapp saying De Zerbi is ‘one of the great managers of all time’
Anything by Gabby Agbonlahor.
Genuinely not sure if he was hired with the intention and contractual obligation to say stupid dumb things to wind people up with his nonsense.
I carnt stand Micha Richards. Always laughing joking around carnt take him seriously. Just ruins the conversation and analysis. Want serious talk
Souness saying Bellingham didn’t score enough
After a FA cup semi final which Chelsea brat Spurs 4-2 Jermaine Jeanes with tears in his eyes arguing against Shearer that “Spurs deserved to win that match”
It’s called hyperbole to emphasize a point he doesn’t actually believe he could play in midfield
Anytime a scouser commentates a Liverpool game.
Rio Ferdinand, sign him now, after Psg fluke.
Pretty much the entire BBC team in the 2010 World Cup.
Hansen - ‘Obviously Apartheid was fundamentally flawed but at least now they’ve got the World Cup’.
Pretty much anything Shearer said throughout rut tournament.
Lawro talking about how bored he was and how much of a chore it was to go on an all expenses paid trip to the World Cup every game.
Can remember watching the pre-match build up to one of the Slovakia games in that tournament. All the BBC pundits were laughing about how little they knew about either side. Patting themselves on the back for having done absolutely zero research.
Lawro easily the worst pundit and commentator ever. Just saps the life out of any game he’s involved in. Danny Murphy coming for his crown though!
Just reminded me of when one of them mentioned Marek Hamsik - who had played about 250 games at that point for Brescia and Napoli - and they took the piss for knowing who he was! Forgot about that one.
