It’s Picard Québécois, he looves metal, specifically tech death and similar, from Quebec and the habs.
Haha ! 2026 Québec is not that metal anymore. There’s some notable exceptions but this time have sadly past I think
The bands from Quebec are still going strong and are a rich part of the genre’s origin and evolution.
Also, Picard (or L’octus in this case) is in the future, so the current state of the scene (and the performance of the Habs) doesn’t factor into his worldview.

EDIT2 : The final line is “From now on, you will speak Joual”, which is the version of french specific to Quebec.
