probably would have won last weekend if we went with physicality over technical ability in our starting XI. sometimes games just call for more muscle and Arteta seems hesitant adjust from the “absolute control” model he’s going for this season… wold love to see him grow a bit in that department.
a completely waterlogged Jorginho didn’t help anything either…
Mikel’s an absolute genius, but he’s also a stubborn maniac at times and I think the man would be benefitted by easing up at times.
You can’t exactly beat Chelsea in that area. They literally recruited specifically for that. The goal was to hide the ball for as long as possible which was the only antidote. Trying to huff with them while spamming long balls to our front three who are no match in air for Chelsea’s back 5 would be amateurish.
