    No surprise, the parts hit are not mass produced and need major repairs. They can be fixed but only over time. Even in the best case where the war ends today and so there are no more attacks I doubt they could repair it.

      It’s more than that. There are a LOT of components in there that aren’t made in Russia, and cannot be made in Russia because they don’t have the ability and infrastructure to manufacture them. Things like high precision bearings, and many of the control systems, amongst others. This isn’t just “the refineries are out”. This is also “the refineries cannot be repaired to full capacity, let alone in a reasonable amount of time”.

        Pffff, they’ll just have to restore it without fancy western techniques like cut off and safety valves. It’s not like anything will be exploding nearby.

    Huh, you don’t say. That totally goes against some propaganda piece that was saying Ukraine’s drone attacks can’t do significant damage, and they’re just for show.
