❗️Israel wars across West Asia cost over $200bn

    Expand

According to a report by Hebrew outlet Zman Yisrael (Times of Israel) on 25 June, the financial cost of Israel’s military campaigns across Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, and Iran since 7 October 2023 has reached nearly $205 billion.

The estimate, based on Bank of Israel data, includes government spending, lost economic output, and around $26 billion in US military aid.

The report said direct government war-related costs have exceeded $118 billion, including $71.2 billion in military spending, $9.6 billion in compensation payments, $16.7 billion in civilian expenditures, and $5.5 billion in debt-related interest costs.

Lost economic output was estimated at $51.9 billion through the end of 2025 and could surpass $58.6 billion in 2026.

The report noted that the total does not include individual losses not covered by the state or all private-sector losses, adding that the overall economic burden could rise further if the wars continue.

The diplomat said Riyadh is expected to host a summit focused on restoring ties between Gulf states, Iran, and potentially other neighboring countries following the US-Israeli war on Iran, though no date has yet been announced.

The source added that these discussions will be separate from the ongoing negotiations between the US and Iran.

❗️Gaza government media office warns humanitarian collapse accelerating as blockade cripples essential services

    Expand

The Government Media Office in Gaza warned that the humanitarian situation has reached a critical stage as Israeli restrictions on the entry of essential supplies continue to cripple infrastructure and basic services, threatening more than 2.4 million Palestinians with a worsening health, environmental, and humanitarian catastrophe.

The office said it remains ready to transfer governance to the National Committee for Gaza Administration under an agreed national framework, while government institutions continue operating only to maintain essential services, public order, and prevent the collapse of public institutions.

The statement said ministries and public agencies are still providing healthcare, water, sanitation, municipal, relief, education, and civil services despite extensive damage and limited resources. It added that Israeli restrictions continue to block the entry of sufficient humanitarian aid and hundreds of items needed to restore infrastructure, while international organizations have also reported major obstacles to humanitarian operations and early recovery efforts.

The office further accused unnamed actors of spreading misinformation intended to undermine public confidence and called on residents to rely on official sources.

The office warned that Gaza’s sanitation system is facing one of its worst crises in years after widespread destruction of sewage networks and pumping stations.

More than one million displaced people are living in emergency camps without adequate sanitation infrastructure, while over 200,000 absorption pits pose growing risks of groundwater contamination and infectious disease, particularly amid rising temperatures.

It also said more than one million meters of water networks have been destroyed, Mekorot water lines remain disrupted, and severe shortages of fuel, generators, spare parts, pipes, cement, and other materials have left municipalities unable to provide sufficient water or restore damaged infrastructure.

The statement warned that deteriorating shelter conditions, the spread of rats, mosquitoes, flies, and fleas, and continued restrictions on construction materials, electricity equipment, fuel, cooking gas, solar panels, batteries, and hundreds of other essential items are pushing Gaza toward a wider humanitarian disaster.

Calling for urgent international intervention, the Government Media Office urged mediators and guarantors of the ceasefire to ensure humanitarian commitments are implemented, allow the unrestricted entry of essential supplies, rehabilitate water and sanitation networks, improve shelter conditions, and prevent an expanding humanitarian, health, and environmental catastrophe across the Gaza Strip.

❗️The Israeli Army Radio reported that the military plans to reinforce its forces in the occupied West Bank by deploying two additional battalions over the next month, amid growing concern within Israel’s security establishment over alleged Iranian efforts to rebuild Palestinian resistance infrastructure.

The report said that “the security establishment is concerned that these efforts could lead to operations being carried out deep inside Israel.”

It also stated that “Israeli estimates are also based on the presence of hundreds of freed Palestinian prisoners who were released in recent exchange deals, and whom the Israeli security circles consider a ‘suitable environment’ for reconstituting and activating armed cells in the West Bank.”

❗️IRGC Quds Force chief warns Israel to withdraw from all of Lebanon

    Expand

IRGC Quds Force commander Esmail Qaani warned Israel to withdraw from all of Lebanon, saying those who had fought Israel “with the spirit of Ashura and the faith of Imam Hussein” continue to hold the belief that “Every day is Ashura, and every land is Karbala.”

Addressing Israelis, Qaani said: “You must leave all of Lebanon, because this land is a field of steadfastness and resistance, not a playground for occupiers.”

He warned that if Israel does not withdraw voluntarily today, it “will be forced to flee tomorrow in humiliation and defeat.” Qaani also urged Israelis not to forget Israel’s 2000 withdrawal from south Lebanon or the late Hassan Nasrallah’s “historic testament” in Bint Jbeil, saying, “That promise is still alive, and there is no doubt that the same scene will be repeated.”

❗️Netanyahu reportedly convinced Trump Israel should not withdraw from southern Lebanon

    Expand

Sources to Yedioth Ahronoth familiar with the Lebanon-Israel negotiations to said today that the fifth round of talks has been the most difficult so far. Israeli officials also said Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu convinced US President Donald Trump that Tel Aviv should not withdraw from southern Lebanon while remaining committed to a full ‘ceasefire.’ Under this framework, Israel would supposedly not initiate attacks but would retain the right to act against threats and respond to attacks.

Israeli officials said both Israeli and Lebanese negotiators are frustrated by the inclusion of a Lebanon-related clause in the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, which Washington allegedly added without consulting either side due to Iranian pressure.

Officials in Israel and the US believe current political conditions make it highly unlikely Netanyahu will approve withdrawals from Lebanon, especially ahead of elections. As a result, US efforts are focused on the pilot-zone issue rather than withdrawal.

On Iran, Israeli officials assess that Washington is unlikely to resume military action before the US midterm elections in November. They believe Trump could adopt a tougher stance afterward if he concludes Tehran is acting in bad faith.

❗️Katz repeats that Israeli army will stay in Lebanon, Syria, & Gaza ‘security zones’ indefinitely

      Expand

Israeli War Minister Israel Katz spoke at the graduation ceremony for combat officers at the Officers’ Training School. He stated that “the IDF will remain in security zones in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza - indefinitely. We will not compromise on Israel’s supreme security interest: protecting our soldiers and safeguarding our citizens - and we will not withdraw from the security zones.”

He added that “commanders and fighters have all the necessary backing to complete their mission and defend themselves and Israeli citizens.”

Regarding Iran, he said: “If Tehran attacks Israel due to our actions in Lebanon, or for any other reason, we will strike it with full force - in a manner that will clearly demonstrate the power gap between us.”

❗️Leader of Ansarallah says resistance remains coordinated, warns of strikes on Israeli presence in Somaliland if escalation persists

    Expand

In a speech on Thursday, 25 June, Ansarallah leader Abdul Malik al-Houthi said the group remains in continuous coordination with the other members of the Axis of Resistance and “will not hesitate to fulfill our duty” in response to any new Israeli escalation against any front, “foremost among them Gaza.”

Houthi said Ansarallah “will move at any time” to target any Israeli military presence established in Somalia (Somaliland), warning that Yemen “will not stand idly by” in the face of any Israeli deployment there.

He also called on countries bordering the Red Sea to adopt a unified position toward Israeli activity in the region, saying coordinated regional action was needed to confront any Israeli presence on Somali territory.

❗️US Supreme Court allows Trump administration to end TPS protections for Haitians & Syrians

The US Supreme Court on Thursday allowed President Donald Trump’s administration to move forward with ending a humanitarian protection program for hundreds of thousands of Haitian and Syrian immigrants, marking another victory for its restrictive immigration agenda.

In a 6-3 decision, the court’s conservative majority overturned rulings by federal judges in New York and Washington DC, that had blocked the administration from terminating Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for more than 350,000 Haitians and about 6,100 Syrians.
