    Despite her mother’s deportation, Sarah said she’s still considering enlisting in the U.S. military after high school, and she remains active in her JROTC’s honor guard and drill team.

    She’s still a child, but that’s certainly not sending the best message. They now have no parents or parental income, so of course the military looks extra appealing.

    Sarah isn’t mad at the country, she said. She’s “more mad at the president.”

    I’m glad she’s not holding a grudge against the entire country because I’m sure that’s terrible for your mental health, but unfortunately the country is why he is president. I feel truly terrible for these kids and the parents.

    Yes, to the extent his misery allows him to feel “happy.” She’s a smart kid.
