It won’t spread outside China until Xiaomi Redmi, Oppo, and VIVO start to sell phones with it installed, especially on low end devices. I have my power button duct taped on to my REALME hoping to hold out for a Harmony version. I’m curious if any of the laptop makers in China will start selling units with it pre-installed or if openKylin wins out.

GrapheneOS does not work on anything outside of Pixel phones right? or are pixel phones just the recommended targets? I want to use grapheneOS but the only thing holding me back is pixel phones and banking apps (not sure if this compatibility issue is overblown). How is the experience with pixel?

Yeah, I think it’s just pixel right now. I got a pixel 9 for it and it’s been smooth so far. Install is incredibly easy, they use webusb, so you just plug in the phone and click through the steps on the page to install. Google store works in a container and all the apps I use just worked. The system is solid, and haven’t had any surprises so far.

even if its sold where you at i would not bother if its not a cn model, global models kinda got shafted with emui.
