The Supreme Leader said, “Trump’s signature is worthless.”

US can combined this with medical tourism. Go for healthcare you can afford at home, while also visiting the future that US tech firms talk about in their IPO, but is already on display in China.

As someone who has lived in 6 different countries over 35 years, all I can say is bwahahahaha.

This article from a country whose auto industry self-destructed with zero pressure from the Chinese. Buying a Chinese made MG has got to sting.

This sounds like a descriptor for my whole life.

I get great joy out of watching the US faceplant.

Hezbollah, the largest party in the Lebanese parliament, are defending their country from invaders; “trading violent strikes" is disingenuous.

The Tangerine Torquemada’s little venture into the Strait of Hormuz cut off a huge source of oil to Southeast Asia. They were left with no choice but turning to Russia and China for help.

For a mostly US-centric view, you can listen to the WSWS podcast or go to the WSWS website (available in 11 languages). Modern viewpoint on the goals of the 4th International https://www.wsws.org/en?redirect=true
Just finished watching all seasons of Monty Python’s Flying Circus. Must say, some of the gags didn’t age well, but still good writing for the most part. Binging Robot Chicken is worth your time.

Depends on your country of origin. Some governments are actively moving to Linux (China) some (US) never will.

US sells billions of dollars of arms to help the Taiwanese oligarchy pretend to remain “free” from China. China sells Taiwan citizens affordable machines that can make 600 bao/hour. Looks like the long term osmosis method is creating better ties between the island province and the mainland, than rampant militarism and nationalism.

Why do I feel like there is also a lunar version as well?

BYD is a battery company first and foremost. In the early days of cell phones, 50% of the phones sold had BYD batteries in them. Their cars are a means to sell their batteries, while Tesla makes cars to sell stock, and only make batteries because BYD quit selling them their next gen products. Tesla and the US are at least a decade behind in commercially available battery technology, and the gap is only growing wider.

I am an AI Luddite. Perhaps it is just the libertarian versions being offered up and pushed by people who should be in jail, not running governments. They are stealing data; something that used to be labeled piracy. Most of the crap that I have contact with as a consumer is either useless, or downright bad for society as it stifles creativity and promotes the surveillance state. The fact that there is a movement to poison data collection tells me I am not alone.

Hardware failures seldom (almost never) have anything to do with the OS, especially if dropped. If I dropped my laptop, and it quit working, I wouldn’t blame Fedora, of even Windoze for that matter.
I developed a habit of using VLC because the installation included a lot of codecs. Probably not as important today as it was years ago, but it’s a habit now.
