    This tool has got my nerd brain very excited. Love that we can see the moments of a game in a completely different perspective, very cool. It’s seemingly added their head movements as well, looks like all their animation is captured really accurately. I wonder if someone’s gone into a program to animate it or if it’s driven by some sort of Ai.

      Heck, they’re a simple licensing agreement away from having the player’s likeness rendered onto those department store mannequins and we can watch a version of the game from anywhere in the stadium. Pretty damn cool.

      Similarly, the NFL broadcast a game a few weeks ago, but re-rendered live in a Toy Story theme, for kids. It had some bugs - the ball got lost a couple times and some players occasionally went haywire when everyone got bunched up, but it was pretty interesting to see.

      If they’re not using AI for this, they’re idiots. This is exactly the sort of thing AI does far better than humans and in a fraction of the time. Probably uses a couple of angles and just infers any missing info.
