This sub isn’t that fun anymore for me. I get the expectations are high, but they are at a level where if things aren’t perfect with a 4-0 win then the fun is sucked out of good solid performances.
It’s unfortunate because I don’t have any Arsenal supporting friends to chat with, so it used to be nice to come here and read stuff.
That’s because Ppl love discussion and are problem solvers by nature. There isn’t much you can discuss about good things. It is like “yea he played great” “he was on fire”. What else can you discuss.
Whereas talking about bad performance, you can have a long discussion on why player X Y Z is not performing. It is fun that share various viewpoints imo.
I’m not saying everything needs to be positive at all though. Being able to discuss what went wrong in a balanced way and actually provide analysis is great, but unfortunately most people here aren’t able to do that, and the people who can get drowned out a lot of the time.
I don’t see many of those comments outside of Match Thread. Even if I see one I would just treat them as fans sharing their opinions without much depth. Same way I treat comments like “Arteta need to start ESR Havertz” as “ Eddie Ode need to be benched”.
That’s what I mean. I think you are just better at ignoring them than I am :)
