I read The Gambler by Dostoevsky on my flights this weekend. I really enjoyed it, and it’s as relevant now as it was back then
rereading blackshirts and reds again! it’s been a fun read so far, reading it with a few friends.
Just finished 23 things they don’t tell you about capitalism - it’s fine. Not great, not awful. Sometimes mildly interesting, sometimes mildly annoying. Not for me. Will not read again.
My current read is Anti-Dühring. 40 pages in and it’s interesting, funny and much more impactful than the previous read. The snarky remarks about mister Dührings ideology really make it come to life.
The author is the best SocDem Economist there is but is still a SocDem in the end. Just like other liberals educated and trained on Keynesian economics, he thinks Capitalism can be reformed too.
